We are pleased to welcome back all of the jazz greats who entertained us last year: Our vocalist, Denise Donatelli, was nominated for two Grammy awards in 2011. She will be joined by Bob Shepherd on sax, Larry Koonse on guitar, Tom Warrington on bass and Joe LaBarbara on drums.
Los Olivos is located in the Santa Ynez Valley, about 120 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Mattei's Tavern where travellers of long ago got off the train from the north and caught a stage to Santa Barbara is a block and a half from the festival site. The town has numerous winery tasting rooms where vintners from the surrounding area showcase their products. Other wineries in the area have tasting rooms at the winery and offer tours of their facilities. The nearby Danish town of Solvang is celebrating it centennial in 2011 with many special events. The Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez offers big name entertainment on a regular basis as well as gaming. Lodging is available in a wide variety of hotels and motels.
